Minister Adriana Velarde Rivas succeeds Minister Victor Muñoz Tuesta as the Chair of the Peruvian National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation (PERUPEC), effective July 1, 2026. Minister Velarde Rivas is a career diplomat in the Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Peru. She is a lawyer by training and holds a Master's degree in Diplomacy and International Relations from the Peruvian Diplomatic Academy, as well as a Master's degree in International Service from American University.
