The PECC International Secretariat is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Stéphane Michel as the new Chair of the Mexico National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation (MXCPEC) and Dr. Gerardo Traslosheros as the Executive Director of MXCPEC.

Mr. Stéphane Michel is an international business leader with over 30 years of experience in the Asia-Pacific region. He currently serves as Chairman for Asia and Oceania at the Mexican Council for Foreign Trade (COMCE) and as President of Valanti, an Asia-based investment and luxury development group. Mr. Michel has held senior leadership and advisory roles across global companies, with expertise in international strategy, market entry, and cross-border investments. His CV is attached.

Dr. Gerardo Traslosheros is a distinguished Mexican economist, diplomat, and academic with extensive experience in international trade and economic policy. He has served as Ambassador to New Zealand, Consul General in São Paulo, and has previously led PECC Mexico as Executive Director and President. Dr. Traslosheros has also contributed to major trade negotiations, including NAFTA, the Free Trade Agreement with Israel, and the Economic Partnership Agreement with Japan. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Rutgers University and has held senior academic positions at UDLAP. His CV is attached. |
