- criteria for a better urban life and the development of sustainable cities
- criteria for better and cleaner urban transportation

| Follow up of the Auckland and Perth seminars: It is proposed that the outcome of the Perth seminar along with the recommendations derived from the Auckland seminar be presented as "PECC Voluntary Guidelines to Promote Environmental Sustainability in Urban Centers". Speakers will be asked to prepare written reports of their powerpoint presentations and session chairs are expected to contribute the proposals and recommendations identified in their respective sessions |
