Synopsis:
The PECC Conference is being organised in at a time of great uncertainty brought about by the global economic crisis. In PECC's tradition of bringing together the brightest minds from business, the academe, government and civil society to come together we believe that now, more than ever, there is an urgent need for us to come together and provide new ideas and thinking on the solutions to the multitude of problems we confront.

The objective of the conference organized by PECC and supported by the Singapore National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation (SINCPEC) and the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), Singapore, is to provide ideas and suggestions on the major issues that the leaders of the Asia-Pacific region will address when they convene in Singapore just a month later for the APEC summit. Invited speakers and participants include Ministers and officials from APEC governments, leading business representatives and thought-leaders from the Asia- Pacific region.
